What are the steps to withdraw from Personalized Advertising?
Botiq Bazaar provides its members with the option to exclude themselves from third-party personalized advertising, which is also referred to as interest-based advertising. This advertising technique allows advertisers to target Botiq Bazaar users based on their interests and demographic characteristics.
If you possess an Botiq Bazaar account and wish to withdraw from personalized advertising, you can do so by adjusting your privacy settings. For those who don’t have an Botiq Bazaar account but still want to opt out of personalized advertising, they can navigate to the bottom of most pages on Botiq Bazaar.com and select Privacy Settings.
Is it possible for me, as a California resident, to decline the “sale” of my data?
According to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), residents of California have the right to withdraw their consent for the “sale” of their personal data at any time. Although Botiq Bazaar does not engage in the traditional “sale” of personal information to third parties, the term “sale” has a broad definition under CCPA that includes the sharing of personal information with third parties for personalized advertising. To opt out of such advertising, please refer to the instructions provided above.
Additionally, California residents have the option to opt out of personalized advertising by activating the Global Privacy Control feature on supported browsers or extensions. When you visit an Botiq Bazaar page and we detect that the Global Privacy Control setting is enabled, we will automatically exclude you from personalized advertising.
What is the process to assert my rights under GDPR?
Botiq Bazaar users located in the European Union and EEA are not automatically enrolled in personalized advertising; instead, they have to explicitly opt in. To do so, navigate to your Account settings and select the Privacy tab, then toggle the Personalized Advertising feature.
